General Manager - Dancehall & Icehouse

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and visionary General Manager to lead the operations of our vibrant Dancehall and Icehouse venues. Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of venue operations, including event planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure smooth and successful functions.
Lead and supervise staff across multiple departments, including security, hospitality, technical support, and customer service teams.
Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability while maintaining high service standards.
Coordinate with vendors, entertainers, and external partners to deliver engaging events that align with brand standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; conduct regular safety audits and oversee first aid and CPR procedures when necessary.
Develop operational policies, procedures, and staff training programs to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Handle managerial decision-making processes swiftly and effectively to resolve issues promptly while maintaining a lively atmosphere.

Skills

Proven experience in venue or event management with a strong background in hospitality or restaurant environments.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing staff performance.
Excellent communication skills for managerial interactions, staff supervision, and guest engagement.
Strong organizational skills with experience in event planning, shift management, and customer service excellence.
Ability to make sound managerial decisions under pressure while maintaining a positive team environment.
Experience with cash handling, budgeting, operational management, and technical proficiency related to venue equipment.
Knowledge of health & safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification; resort or hotel experience is a plus.
Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within entertainment venues or hospitality settings is highly desirable.
