The Stained Glass Garden is an Art Glass gallery, education center, and retail space celebrating 45 years in the Fourth Street district of Berkeley. We are a family owned business aimed at sharing the love of glass art in the Bay Area. The retail side of our multi-faceted business includes glass cutting for residential homes and design firms, in addition to providing supplies and service to glass arts students and professionals alike. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented person to work retail and perform tasks that help our shop run smoothly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include: *Opening and Closing *Assisting customers in glass arts sales and giftware *Placing special orders *Managing Inventory and supplies *Providing glass cutting services *Decorating the gallery space *Assisting with advertising and website management *Preparing studio for classes Skills & Abilities we are looking for: *Friendly, self motivated *Retail experience *Familiar with Mac computers *Experience in glass arts: stained glass, mosaic, or fusing *Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for 8 hours *Available to work weekends and occasional evening shifts Please send us your cover letter detailing your experience, along with resume and references.
