Google Ads Specialist

Location: Remote — candidates must reside in Colorado, Texas, or New Mexico

Employment Type: Full-Time

Base Compensation: Up to $120,000 annually, depending on experience

Additional Compensation: Performance-based bonus and incentive opportunities

Firm: Baker Law Group

About the Role

Baker Law Group is seeking an experienced Google Ads Specialist to take ownership of paid search performance across our growing multi-state law firm.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to build, manage, analyze, and continually improve sophisticated Google Ads campaigns—not simply monitor dashboards or rely on automated recommendations.

Our marketing operation supports multiple legal practice areas and geographic markets, with significant paid-search investment and numerous active campaigns. We are looking for someone who can understand the entire journey from search query to signed client and use that information to make smarter advertising decisions.

For us, a conversion is not the finish line. A form submission or phone call only matters if it turns into a qualified lead and, ultimately, profitable retained business. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing, intake, sales, and leadership to understand which campaigns are actually generating valuable clients and optimize accordingly.

What You’ll Do

The Google Ads Specialist will:

Build, manage, and optimize Google Search campaigns across multiple practice areas and geographic markets
Conduct keyword research and continually refine keyword strategy
Build and maintain robust negative-keyword strategies
Analyze search terms to distinguish high-intent prospective clients from informational or low-value traffic
Develop campaign structures around geography, practice area, search intent, and business objectives
Write and test compelling ad copy
Monitor bids, budgets, impression share, quality scores, click-through rates, conversion rates, and cost per acquisition
Evaluate campaign success based on lead quality and business results, not Google-reported conversions alone
Track leads from ad click through consultation, sign-up, and retained revenue whenever attribution data is available
Identify wasted spend and proactively reallocate budget toward stronger-performing campaigns
Build and improve conversion tracking
Work with call-tracking systems such as CallRail to evaluate phone lead quality and campaign attribution
Use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to troubleshoot and improve tracking
Collaborate with Salesforce users and internal teams to improve closed-loop attribution between advertising and signed clients
Review landing-page performance and recommend improvements to copy, structure, calls to action, forms, and user experience
Partner with web resources on landing-page development and testing
Produce clear performance reports that explain what is working, what is not, and what should change next
Stay current on Google Ads platform changes, bidding strategies, automation, and legal-industry advertising trends

What We’re Looking For

Strong candidates will have:

3-5+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience
Experience personally managing substantial PPC budgets and multiple simultaneous campaigns
Advanced understanding of Google Search campaigns, bidding strategies, match types, search terms, negative keywords, audience signals, and conversion optimization
Strong understanding of search intent
Experience determining whether leads are genuinely qualified rather than relying solely on platform conversion counts
Demonstrated ability to improve ROI, cost per qualified lead, and campaign efficiency
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate performance data into specific action
Experience with Google Analytics
Experience with Google Tag Manager
Experience with call tracking and attribution platforms
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
Excellent written communication and ad-copy skills
The ability to explain PPC strategy and results clearly to people who are not digital-marketing specialists
A proactive mindset and the ability to identify problems and opportunities without waiting to be told where to look

Legal Marketing Experience

Law firm PPC experience is strongly preferred.

Legal paid search presents unique challenges, including expensive keywords, highly competitive local markets, multiple practice areas, geographic restrictions, and the need to distinguish between someone researching a legal topic and someone actively looking to retain counsel.

Candidates who have managed campaigns for law firms or other high-value lead-generation businesses will receive strong consideration.

Google Ads certification is also preferred.

Compensation

Baker Law Group offers:

Base compensation up to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and demonstrated capability
Performance-based bonus and incentive opportunities above base compensation
Medical insurance
Dental insurance
Vision insurance
401(k)
Paid time off
Professional development opportunities
Fully remote work for employees located in Colorado, Texas, or New Mexico

Why Join Baker Law Group?

Baker Law Group is a rapidly growing multi-state law firm with an established marketing and intake operation and a meaningful investment in paid acquisition.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an important revenue channel rather than simply execute tasks handed down by an outside agency. You will have access to the people who handle leads, speak with prospective clients, sign new matters, and track revenue—allowing you to understand what happens after the click and use that information to improve performance.

We are looking for someone who wants accountability, visibility, and the opportunity to directly influence the continued growth of the firm.
