Graphic Designer

University Book Store is looking for an upbeat and inspired graphic designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics and communications for a variety of media. _Please note: this is not a remote position and requires a daily, onsite presence._ **Primary Responsibilities** * Design and produce web and print collateral to support organizational marketing efforts, including window display banners, flyers and in-store signage, print and digital advertising, email layouts, online web assets, social media templates, and other traditional and digital media efforts * Support in-house design and print needs in collaboration * Assist with the production and packaging of marketing materials * Update and maintain a shared library of collateral assets * Develop and pitch campaigns and related concepts to internal stakeholders * Establish a modern, clean, bold, and compelling design aesthetic that carries through all University Book Store’s visual elements and aligns with campaign objectives to engage and delight our customers * Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of all creative efforts * Work effectively and positively within tight deadlines; juggle competing priorities * Other duties as assigned **Experience and Skills Required** * Degree or professional certification in Graphic Design required * Understanding of marketing, production, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements and multimedia design, including email and e-commerce UX * Strong computer skills and advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop * Experience with MS Office * Familiarity with HTML and CSS a plus * Experience working in a retail and/or a branded environment a plus * Self-motivated, self-starter who is committed to excellence and optimal outcomes for all work produced * Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and project and time management * Minimum of one-year professional experience in a similar role or relevant internship * Team player and can-do attitude a must! **Work Schedule** * Monday - Friday: 9am - 6pm * Hours may change as seasonal and business needs dictate **Wage & Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19-$20.75 per hour.
