Head of Marketing

This role leads the development and execution of an integrated marketing, communications, and go-to-market strategy across all channels—including brand, digital, PR, social, and direct marketing—to elevate the Space Foundation as the leading nonprofit organization serving the global space ecosystem. Lead enterprise-wide marketing and communications strategy, driving brand strength, audience growth, and revenue impact.Define and steward the Space Foundation brand, ensuring clear positioning, consistent messaging, and strong global visibility.Develop and execute integrated go-to-market plans across programs, events, partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives.Oversee all marketing channels—including digital, web, PR, social, content, email, and paid media—ensuring a modern, data-driven approach.Partner across a matrixed organization to align marketing with program, development, and partnership goals.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, media, partners, sponsors, and industry leaders.Lead content and storytelling that positions the Space Foundation as a trusted voice in the global space ecosystem.Drive operational excellence across team, processes, and platforms to ensure efficient execution and measurable performance.Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, overseeing directors, managers, and specialists across brand, digital, communications, creative, and marketing operations while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and positive culture.Responsible for setting priorities, developing team capabilities, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. An individual in this position will regularly work a schedule consisting of 40+ hours per week.Work Location: This position’s primary worksite is the Space Foundation headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO.
