To achieve this goal, the Senior Media Strategist will pursue three strategies:Flawlessly plan, manage, optimize, and report on paid social media executionsBe an expert in the ways of all social media ads platformsProvide leadership and mentorship to media team membersSuccess In This Role MeansMeet or exceed client’s KPIsError-free implementation of campaign tactics and strategiesGrow Helen + Gertrude revenue through establishing client, vendor, and cross-functional team trust and long-term partnershipsCollaborate with Team Leads & directors to achieve functional team successResponsibilitiesPlanningWork with cross-functional teams inclusive of creative, media and data, to develop best-in-class campaign strategies that achieve client business objectivesUse native platforms and third-party research tools to develop comprehensive media plans on all major and emerging social networksMaintain knowledge of client’s business, goals and KPIsActivationWork with native social ad managers and third-party media buying tools to execute paid social media campaignsImplement and manage website tracking, including site tagging and analyticsOversee campaign performance and budgetsProvide continuous optimization to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of paid media campaignsExecute at any stage of the media processMaintain an understanding of program elements – can easily answer questions pertaining to status of account (stage of plan, buys, current workflows, and client billings)AnalysisDevelop and present client-facing performance reports, providing actionable insights to stakeholders on a scheduled or ad hoc basisOrganizationalWork closely with team leads & directors to train media strategists and coordinators as neededParticipate in new business projectsBecome an expert in Helen + Gertrude offerings and core valuesMaintain understanding of the dynamic digital ecosystem (search, social, native, display, video) and how channels work togetherProvide proactive thought leadership and innovation for Helen + Gertrude and its clientsSeek feedback from peers and management on ways to improve individual performance and grow overall Helen + Gertrude businessQualifications5+ years of digital media experience; work experience in a media planning or buying position in an agency setting preferredIntermediate to advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables and advanced formulas)Understanding of fundamental ads metrics and media mathStrong analytics, quantitative and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendationsAdvanced experience working with digital media tools and platforms, examples include programmatic, search and native social media ad platforms (MBM, Snap Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.When in the office space, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire. This team currently comes into the office approximately once a week.
