HR Assistant

Are you driven, a great communicator and have social media experience? This is a full-time entry level HR assistant position. HR Assistants also help maintain social media sites. Duties and Responsibilities: • Update and revise employment ads as necessary for open position on career source sites • Search and reach out to potential candidates using career source sites • Review resumes/applications and follow up with candidates who applied with company directly • Pre-screen all potential applicants based on experience and job requirements • Update application tracking log • Forward prescreen applicants to hiring managers for review and schedule interviews • Update social media sites with job openings, new hires, work in progress and events • Meet every other week with hiring managers to determine hiring needs • Set up, organize job fairs and events • Meet, build relationship with Trade, High schools, colleges and recruiting partner/organizations • Set up and attend recruitment meetings with Trade, High schools, colleges and recruiting partner/organizations • Research additional advertising avenues • File HR documents weekly and assist with other misc HR duties as requested by HR • Maintain confidentiality at all times • Keep HR Manager up to date and informed at all times regarding job listing, ads, and interviews • Copy HR on all potential candidates and interview scheduled • Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency Requirements, Skills and Competencies: • Computer Skills: Microsoft products and social media experience a must • Positions Required Skills: Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail Autonomous/Independent -- enjoys working with little direction Creativity- think outside the box • Communication Skills: Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills • Time Management Skills: A confident, highly motivated, proactive, extremely organized professional who is able to multi-task, prioritize, and work well under pressure in a fast- paced environment.
