Inlander Advertising Account Executive

The Inlander, a Spokane-based publishing company with 25-plus years of community trust behind it, is looking for an ADVERTISING ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE. The job of an account executive is to quickly grasp each client's goals, and make use of the resources of Inland Publications to build the most effective campaign. Some examples... • research clients' products, services, plans, competitors and target markets • meet clients for briefings and present proposals to clients for approval • ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget; advertising staff are expected to be flexible to meet deadlines. Office hours are 8am- 5pm Monday-Friday • meet with clients to discuss strategy and report on progress • respond to clients' requests as they arise • develop pitches for new contracts • provide ideas for campaigns and print ads, work with designers to produce ads that meet campaign goals • keep records and track payment Skills & Personal Qualities An advertising account executive must be: • quick to absorb and analyze large amounts of information • enthusiastic, energetic and imaginative • approachable, outgoing and diplomatic • a clear communicator, in person and writing • able to present ideas with conviction • highly organized and flexible • good with figures, comfortable discussing budgets with clients • IT literate • comfortable working as part of a team • skilled at negotiating and motivating others • commercially aware Salary and Other Benefits This position is base plus commission; commissions are not capped and are paid by goal attainment.
