Marquette University’s Diederich College of Communication seeks two experienced advertising professionals for non-tenure track faculty positions in our Advertising program. The candidates will be expected to provide high-quality instruction of foundational and advanced-level courses in the college’s Advertising program, with the ability to teach two or more of the following: • Advertising Media Strategy (ADVE 4100) • Consumer Insight and Brand Strategy (ADVE 3000) • Advertising Content Ideation and Copywriting (ADVE 3400) • Account Management for Ad and PR (ADPR 4500) • Advertising Campaigns (ADVE 4997/capstone) Additional responsibilities include: • Mentoring students and support their professional development • Contributing to curriculum development and program initiatives • Maintaining strong connections with the advertising industry • Participating in college and university service activities Bachelor’s degree in an area of communication or a closely related field with a knowledge base in strategic communication, and 10 or more years of professional experience in two or more of the following areas: • Brand Strategy • Media Strategy • Media Activation • Account Planning • Account Management • Sports and/or Entertainment Marketing A master’s or other advanced degree is preferred, but not required.
