We are determined: above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.ResponsibilitiesActively work with the Marketing and Communications team to meet team deadlines.Update KansasCityYMCA.org and related websites with current, accurate information for prospects, members, and program participants.Assist with podcast execution including: scripts, social promos, editing MP3 and MP4.Write and coordinate social media posts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other platforms.Use creative software to update forms and create simple marketing materials.Help proof written and creative projects.Assist with special events preparation including tracking and following up on RSVPs, gathering materials needed, and set-up.Assist with invoice and expense processes.Travel as needed to assigned locations across the association.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in marketing or related area from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions.Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, and multi-task proficient.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat preferred, or willingness to be trained to assist with updates/edits to marketing materials.Experience with Drupal preferred.
