Leasing Manager, Non-Profit

This role coordinates and supervises the activities of the leasing team to ensure maximum occupancy for the community, as well as directly supports the Site Manager. This position recognizes the goal of creating a positive lease experience for CHNW student residents, while ensuring leasing operations are executed per organizational and landlord/tenant law standards. - Supervises, selects, trains, and coaches staff in collaboration with Employee Services personnel and procedures, proactively assessing training and development needs of leasing staff and coordinates to fill any gaps - Collaborates across functional areas, including Leadership, to ensure high student satisfaction and mission goals are being met - Participates in complex student-tenant relations activities including conduct meetings, initiating legal proceedings and contacting legal consultants for advice - Tracks and prepares monthly metrics and presents outcome measurements to the Site Manager and team members - Manages and directs the daily leasing operations; supports rent collection and accounting processes in accordance to CHNW policies - Supports the leasing aspects in apartment turn-over schedule and supervision of the move in and out process including re-contracting and student status verification. - You have at least 2-5 years of related experience in Leasing or Property Management - You have at least 2-3 years of customer service experience - You have experience and knowledge of Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant laws, rules, and regulations concerning apartment leasing and management in Oregon - Supervisory experience is preferred but not required - Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required in lieu of additional experience - Supervisory Abilities: You understand how to lead and supervise a team of diverse people effectively - Manager/Training skills: You are an effective manager of employees who manage teams; you are able to train supervisors to train and support their teams - Customer Service Skills: You have proven experience delivering exceptional customer service in high stress situations - Decision-Making Abilities: You make strong decisions that are organization-focused, and have a positive impact - Teamwork Abilities: You’re able to work productively with the team and demonstrate collaborative communications and team problem solving skills.
