Coffee News South Alabama is looking for an outgoing, self-motivated Advertising Sales Representative to help local businesses promote themselves in our weekly Coffee News publications.

This is a 1099 independent contractor sales position with a flexible schedule and recurring commission on advertising accounts you sell.

This is not an MLM, franchise opportunity, recruiting position, or pay-to-join program. There are no startup fees, inventory purchases, or required investment.

What You'll Be Selling

Coffee News is a fun, positive weekly publication distributed free at restaurants, coffee shops, waiting areas, and other high-traffic locations throughout Baldwin County.

Our advertisers are local businesses looking for an affordable way to stay visible in their community.

What You'll Do

Identify and contact local businesses that would be a good fit for Coffee News
Meet or speak with business owners and decision-makers
Explain Coffee News advertising options and benefits
Follow up with prospects and close new advertising accounts
Build relationships with advertisers and local business owners
Develop your own book of recurring advertising accounts

Compensation

Commission on advertising accounts you sell
Commission continues as your advertisers continue their campaigns
Build recurring monthly commission rather than starting from zero each month
No cap on commissions within available advertising inventory

Who We're Looking For

You may be a good fit if you:

Enjoy meeting and talking with business owners
Are comfortable prospecting and following up
Are self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Are involved in or familiar with the local business community
Have sales, networking, business ownership, real estate, media, or advertising experience

Previous sales experience is helpful, but we are more interested in someone who is comfortable talking to people, dependable, and willing to consistently prospect for new business.
