HBCU in AlabamaSalary Range: $70,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience Terrific Marketing and Communications Manager position with a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Alabama. The Marketing and Communications Manager will lead the creation and implementation for marketing and communications strategy for the college. This includes all internal and external communications. The Manager will implement integrated communications strategies that include media relations, marketing campaigns, and storytelling to provide consistent messaging. The role will have one direct report and also work closely with external contractors for digital and social media management. Responsibilities:Create and implement communications and marketing strategiesServe as the point of contact for media relations and coordinate related activitiesProvide support to the Advancement team through messaging, donor communications, and other collateralManage internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and updatesWork with the President as needed on leadership communicationsCollaborate with external contractors on digital and social media managementManage one direct report Qualifications:Approximately 5+ years of relevant marketing, communications, or PR experienceBachelor's degree requiredExperience in higher education or nonprofitDemonstrated track record of success managing marketing and communications strategiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding and familiarity with HBCU'sComfortable managing direct reports and collaborating with leadershipMission-driven Equal opportunity employer.
