This leader operates as both a strategic thought partner and people leader, guiding the team through a dynamic, evolving marketplace while continuously improving planning workflows, tools, and outputs.Job Description Core Responsibilities:Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior planners and media planners.Oversee the development of strategic, data‑driven media plans aligned to client goals, inventory strategy, and pricing/yield principles.Partner closely with Sales, Yield, and other internal and external teams to deliver cohesive and competitive proposals.Lead the team through ongoing transformation in inventory, products, systems, and planning methodologies.Drive consistency and efficiency across planning workflows, tools, and outputs.Collaborate to develop best practices across Planning teams.Partner with senior leadership to define priorities, track outcomes, and drive results.Set expectations for accountability, prioritization, and quality of work across a fast‑paced planning environment.Work closely with senior manager and partner planning or yield leads on higher‑level projects such as new product rollouts, system enhancements, complex pricing analysis, and strategic thought sessions.Remain available to sales team and resolve operational questions and issues.Create and analyze work performance standards that ensure adherence to policies and procedures in accordance with overall functional strategy.Work with leaders to develop and effectively communicate team goals and priorities.Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.DisclaimerThis information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
