Managing Editor of Digital and Editorial Content

Position Summary Reporting to the SOJC’s director of communication, the managing editor of digital and editorial content writes and edits both marketing and journalistic copy and provides editorial support for print and digital publications and collateral distributed by the school. The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, writing, and editing SOJC news stories, marketing communication projects, and publications; copy- editing and proofreading; supervising student writers; and performing other duties as a creative contributor to the Communication and Events Office. • A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a closely related field may substitute for up to two years of the general experience but will not substitute for the one year of specialized experience. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a collaborative part of a creative team. • Experience managing digital content, including web, email, and social media communications.
