Marketing Advertising Specialist

FLSA Status: Exempt The Marketing Specialist plays a critical role on the PFSbrands team and is fully dedicated to helping its c-store and supermarket retail partners develop successful hot food programs in their stores by assisting them in developing effective campaigns and marketing strategies that will maximize positive impact of marketing development funds (MDF) earmarked for their businesses. • Proactively advise and support an assigned set of branded retailers and their Retail Growth Advisors in the field with advertising and promotional strategies, which are designed to grow the retailers hot food program sales and profits • Manage and troubleshoot all orders on the company HUB and act as liaison for graphic designers and Print Shop staff • Process MDF orders, claims, and reimbursements for retailers • Track and manage retailers accumulation of MDF funds, their spending for approved ad and promotional efforts and net funds available to underwrite future efforts • Analyze retailers needs to determine the best advertising and promotional strategies to apply • Assist retailers with advertising research, negotiations and ad buying • Develop scalable and effective strategies that can be implanted across all retailers • Work closely with the graphic designers and the company s full-service Print Shop to develop effective and creative marketing materials • Implement approved advertising and promotional plans • Analyze data/reports to determine the effectiveness of campaigns • Compile case studies that can be used to demonstrate effective advertising efforts that have been successful for other retailers • Conduct research to analyze the latest marketing tools, technology, trends, competitors, brand perceptions, market penetration and customer needs • Field inquiries and questions by phone and email from retailers and Retail Growth Advisors • Distribute the MDF Period Reports monthly to all retailers • Perform other duties as assigned • 2 or 4-year college degree OR equivalent work experience is preferred but not required • Sound understanding of the principles of advertising and promotion • Experience with digital technologies and how they can be used to grow business • Good project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task • Ability to operate under pressure, work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines • Team player who works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded • Creative and innovative with highly developed interpersonal skills • Positive, helpful, can-do attitude • Self-motivated by challenge and a true problem solver • STRONG analytical and reporting skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and email (Outlook) • Experience utilizing a CRM database system would be helpful but is not required • Avid learner and researcher who takes ownership of their professional development in the role and career The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
