Marketing Analyst

The Marketing Analyst position will be responsible for reviewing data to deliver actionable insights that contribute to the success of the marketing team as well as the company as a whole. Success in this position will be evaluated based on the quality of the insights and the impact they have on the organization. Responsibilities Data & Insights * Monitor and report regularly on email, SEO, website, events and other metrics * Set quarterly metric goals to ensure MCT is on track to meet yearly KPI goals * Review email campaigns to ensure frequency, segmentation, open and clicks are maximized * Monitor MCT’s SEO performance and provide suggestions to maximize search engine traffic and conversions * Perform regular analysis on website metrics for insights that increase web traffic, reduce bounces, increase conversions and other important website KPIs * Provide analysis on contact and email engagement to be presented to sales directors to empower them to convert leads * Review Salesforce regularly to identify sales pipeline bottlenecks and opportunities * Work with marketing team to analyze advertising channels and ensure ad strategy is optimized for conversions * Implement approved suggestions and ensure they’re completed in a timely manner and based on the original scope of the project * When necessary, work with the CMO to recruit outside resources to ensure successful implementation of projects Marketing Operations * Review content creation process to ensure web pages and content is optimized for SEO and conversions * Identify and manage potential bottlenecks and slowdowns, taking appropriate action deploy additional resources or inform external stakeholders * Process development and documentation, particularly in Key Functional Areas of Content, Email, Events, and Branding/Collateral * Act as example and resource for other marketing team members * Support and assist the CMO as needed Content Marketing * Execute on timely and ninja content when needed * Increase expertise within MCT industry and services to improve technical copywriting and editorial capability * Support the creation of marketing content and campaigns when needed. This may include the creation or support of emails, blog posts, events or other marketing initiatives to ensure yearly KPIs are met Events Marketing & Management * Support the Events Coordinator to create materials, schedule and manage events as needed * Improve tracking and reporting around Events, particularly as it relates to selling opportunities and follow-up via Salesforce Branding & Collateral * Support graphic designer with adherence to MCT Branding Guide & Templates as needed * Improve company-wide branding consistency with support of Marketing team * Maintain inventory of MCT collateral and identify potential gaps * Act as a resource and trainer for MCT staff when it comes to MCT branding, collateral and templates You Must Meet the Following Requirements to Be Considered for this Position * Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Communications / Marketing / e-Marketing / Media Studies / Related Field * Must be knowledgeable about basic concepts in digital marketing, copywriting/blogging, SEO/SEM, Social Media Marketing, and Data Analysis * Must be an independent worker and/or critical thinker * Must have advanced reading comprehension skills * Must be thorough and detail-oriented * Must be tech savvy and a fast learner Beneficial But Not Required * Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Excel * Knowledge of the mortgage, finance, or the secondary market Working Conditions Based out of MCT’s San Diego headquarters, the Marketing Operations Manager is expected to work a flexible but full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week.
