The Marketing & Communications Specialist provides support to key stakeholders through content creation, review and distribution of marketing and communications to internal and external audiences. This person should have a passion for writing and developing high-quality content, designed to engage employees, attract and retain customers and drive company initiatives, culture and key messages. This includes providing creative direction by determining appropriate strategy and platform, while writing and designing thoughtful content. Responsibilities: • Produce clear, engaging and strategic communications that align with company objectives • Write/edit and distribute communications in collaboration with the requestor and other subject matter experts • Ability to map clear (often creative) marketing and communication strategies for company initiatives • Identify and partner with industry publications for media and ad placement • Design attractive and creative marketing material graphics meant for print and digital media, including social media, that aligns with company brand guidelines and drives key messages • Ghost write for the executive team and work closely with members of senior leadership (CEO communications, town hall talking points, speeches and other content) • Owns corporate social media sites, including LinkedIn and Facebook • Identify newsworthy company stories to share internally and externally • Manages multiple communication platforms • Acts as a brand ambassador, reinforcing corporate brand guidelines and providing counsel to support a consistent external representation of the MV brand • Manage content and design for the employee intranet • Lead marketing and communications projects and other related campaigns • Plays a supporting role in crisis communications, monitoring media inquiries and drafting press statements • Follow consistent style and branding guidelines • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
