Marketing and Communications Internship in Brooklyn

Status: Part-time, 15-20 hours a week, unpaid, reimbursement for monthly unlimited Metrocard. $30 a day will be offered to cover lunch cost Start Date: ASAP Java Studios is a 30,000 sq ft Artist community located in Greenpoint Brooklyn. Check our website: www.java-studios.com Java Studios is looking for a part- time Marketing and Communications Intern. Applicants should be strong writers, digitally savvy, comfortable with social media tools, and be passionate about the arts and social media. Duties will vary, but will include: -Conduct market research to identify prospective advertisers and website users -Assist with outreach to advertisers -Find alternative Advertising Online Platforms to showcase our Available Studios -Create and Maintain Social Media presence online -Brainstorm new ideas for online marketing -Provide general support to the Java Studios -Other duties as assigned, including data entry, database development, as well as some filing and day-to-day operational support QUALIFICATIONS: * Academic or professional experience with marketing, research, writing and editing preferred * Detail-oriented and strong written, oral and communication skills * Ability to work well collaboratively and independently * Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
