Marketing & Content Creation Intern ResponsibilitiesTimeline: July 13 – October 16, 2026$16/hour (paid bi-weekly)155-hour capApproximately 15-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling. Some evening and weekend hours will be required for events.Duties (in no particular order of importance)Create content for Venture Richmond's social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reels, and Stories.Capture original photo and video content featuring downtown Richmond businesses, restaurants, attractions, events, public spaces, and neighborhoods.Coordinate social media giveaways, contests, and audience engagement campaigns.Write social media captions, promotional copy, and other marketing content.Design social media graphics, event promotions, website assets, and marketing materials using Canva.Assist with promotion and on-site support for Venture Richmond events, including the 2nd Street Festival (October 3-4) and Richmond Folk Festival (October 9-11).Update event listings, community calendars, and website content.Research, write, and assist with blog and feature story development.Interview downtown business owners, community partners, and stakeholders for stories and content opportunities.Organize and maintain Venture Richmond's photo and video library.Collaborate with local businesses, nonprofits, and community partners to promote downtown Richmond.What You'll GainPublished work for your professional portfolio.Hands‑on experience in social media marketing, content creation, and event promotion.Opportunities to cover major Richmond events.Direct experience working with Richmond businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.Preferred QualificationsPursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.Extensive experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.Experience with Canva, photography, and videography.Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of Downtown Richmond is REQUIRED.#J-18808-Ljbffr
