Job Summary:
The Marketing & Digital Coordinator supports digital marketing initiatives across social media, email, digital advertising and online content. This role helps create timely, accurate and engaging campaigns that strengthen the organization’s brand and connect audiences with performances, exhibitions, events and education programs.
Working closely with the Director of Marketing and cross-functional partners, this position supports campaigns that promote programming priorities to current and prospective audiences.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and digitally savvy, with strong writing skills, creative judgment and an analytical mindset. This person should be comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced performing arts environment and collaborating across teams to bring campaigns from concept to execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Digital Marketing & Campaign Coordination—
Coordinate digital campaigns for performances, exhibitions, events, education programs, memberships and other initiatives.
Develop timelines, gather assets and maintain campaign materials in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and internal teams.
Ensure messaging, branding, imagery, links, tracking URLs and calls to action are accurate and consistent.
Support digital advertising implementation and campaign testing to improve performance.
Email Marketing—
Build, schedule and deploy email campaigns using the organization’s email marketing platform.
Coordinate copy, images, links, audience segmentation and list management.
Test emails before deployment and monitor performance, including opens, clicks and conversions.
Social Media & Digital Content—
Create, schedule and publish social media and digital content aligned with marketing calendars and campaign priorities.
Repurpose approved marketing content across digital channels and monitor audience engagement.
Stay informed about digital content trends and audience behaviors relevant to the performing arts.
Analytics & Reporting—
Compile performance data from website, email, social media and advertising platforms.
Prepare reports and summaries for the Director of Marketing and internal stakeholders.
Use data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
Project Management & Collaboration—
Manage multiple digital projects while maintaining deadlines, details and organized files.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information, approvals and assets.
Work with external vendors, advertising partners and digital service providers as assigned.
Audience Development & Engagement—
Support strategies that attract new audiences, strengthen patron engagement and encourage ticket purchases and program participation.
Develop digital content that communicates the value of the organization’s artistic, cultural and educational offerings.
Brand & Quality Assurance—
Ensure digital communications follow brand standards, tone of voice and messaging guidelines.
Proofread and fact-check content for accuracy, grammar, links, dates, times, pricing and other critical details.
Maintain consistent, professional and patron-focused digital touchpoints.
Qualifications—
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, advertising, public relations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Two to four years of experience in digital marketing, communications, advertising, social media or a related field.
Strong writing, communication, organization, project-management and attention-to-detail skills.
Working knowledge of digital marketing, email marketing, social media, digital advertising and marketing analytics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software, including Premiere or other video editing software; ability to learn new technology platforms quickly.
Experience with Meta, Google, Prospect2 or comparable digital advertising and email marketing platforms.
Experience in a nonprofit, performing arts, museum, cultural or entertainment organization is preferred.
