Marketing and Promotions Manager

The Marketing and Promotions Manager leads the planning, execution, and performance management of AAL marketing campaigns and communications efforts. This role is responsible for developing campaign strategies, producing high-quality communications content, maintaining brand consistency, and ensuring all outputs align with Army messaging, OPSEC requirements, and performance standards.


This role serves as the functional lead for campaign execution, working under the Site Lead and coordinating across content, digital, and event teams to deliver integrated communications outcomes. Performs other related duties as assigned.



Responsibilities


Campaign Planning and Execution


Plan, execute, monitor, and measure AAL marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
Ensure campaigns launch on schedule and meet all defined objectives and deliverables.
Align campaigns with AAL branding, messaging, and strategic communication goals.


Content Development Oversight


Lead development of communication products including:

Talking points
Briefings
Articles
Digital and campaign content

Ensure all content is accurate, aligned with Army messaging, and ready for Government use.


Research and Stakeholder Support


Coordinate and deliver background research and briefing materials for Government stakeholders.
Provide primers and supporting materials in advance of key engagements.


Content Production and Publication


Oversee writing, editing, and proofreading of content across platforms (web, email, whitepapers, etc.).
Ensure all published materials meet quality, style, and messaging standards.


Cross-Functional Coordination


Coordinate with:

Content Development
Digital Presence
Event teams

Ensure campaigns are integrated across digital, content, and event execution channels.


Performance Expectations (STD/AQL Alignment)




90% of campaigns launched on time and fully executed

Brand plan delivered annually by required deadline
Revisions completed within 5 business days
Compliance with branding and OPSEC requirements (minimal deficiencies)


95% of communication products delivered within 3 business days
Background research delivered
24 hours prior to briefings


98% editorial accuracy across published materials



Performance is highly deadline-driven and quality-sensitive, with visibility through Government surveillance (QASP).


Work Environment / Execution Context


Primary place of performance is Austin, TX. Current operations are being conducted remotely with COR approval; however, candidates must be prepared to work onsite at AAL offices in Austin, TX as mission requirements dictate.
Coordination with Government stakeholders and cross-functional contractor teams.


Security / Compliance Requirements


Adhere to OPSEC and Army communications policies.
Ensure all materials meet security and public release standards.
Complete required training (AT Level I, OPSEC, PII, IA as applicable).
Protect sensitive and proprietary information.


Qualifications


5–8+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or campaign management
Active Secret clearance
Experience managing multi-channel campaigns (digital, content, events)
Strong writing/editing and communications skills
Experience working in structured or compliance-driven environments
Familiarity with Government or DoD communications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
