Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator

Mount Carmel Guild is a 105-year-old trusted nonprofit, located in the heart of Trenton, NJ and part of the Diocese of Trenton. The incumbent will lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all marketing, media, and public relations efforts to help elevate the Guild’s profile, deepen donor and volunteer engagement, support fundraising and programmatic initiatives. Donor Engagement and Event Support • Assist the Executive Director and development team in creating donor-facing materials and campaign messaging; • Provide marketing and logistical support for fundraising and community events; • Attend business or social networking events to help build strategic community relationship and promote the Guild’s vital work; • Assist with donor stewardship efforts, including follow-up communication, acknowledgements, and personalized outreach. Community Engagement and Advocacy: • Represent the Guild at community meetings, events, and networking opportunities to build partnerships and increase visibility; • Maintain relationships with local schools, parishes, and business organizations to foster collaboration; • Advocate for the needs of the most vulnerable populations served by the Guild. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a marketing or PR role (nonprofit experience a plus) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong writing, editing, and brand storytelling skills • Proficiency with social media platforms, website CMS, email marketing tools, and Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Passion for mission-driven work and sensitivity to diverse audiences • Experience with event planning, photography/videography, and graphic design a plus
