Marketing Assistant Manager

The position of marketing assistant consists of assisting and implementing all marketing strategies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Support delivery of marketing campaigns and development of marketing strategies • Manage and or provide support for newsletters and press releases • Evaluate all initiatives, including monitoring the effectiveness of promotions • Show sound judgment and commitment to managing the company’s ideals and ethos • Manage our Google Business profile and Yelp strategy • Review, edit and monitor websites, blogs, social media postings, etc. • Perform market and SEO keyword research for optimization • Create newsletters and e-blasts • Write and edit sales and marketing materials, which include articles, presentations, blogs etc. • Maintain project tracking and marketing calendars • Be flexible in approach and willing to work outside of role’s bounds • Support the work of other team-members Requirements: • Recent graduate and / or work experience in marketing, public relations or communications is a plus • Exceptional standard of written English, i.e. writing accurate and engaging copy • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet • Ability to prioritize workloads and good time management skills • Direct experience in video, audio, photography, or writing is a plus • Excellent verbal communications skills • Strong writing and editing skills and experience with press releases, magazine articles, blog posts, or related work is a plus • Experience developing and pitching story ideas to editors is a plus • Ability to coordinate multiple projects in order to meet deadlines • Understanding of marketing-oriented social media tools and techniques Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
