Marketing Assistant; Part-Time

Maintain a college-wide calendar of special events and activitiesD. with press releases, schedules, calendar of events, etc.F. Assist with coordination and promotion of special events on campusN. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of MarketingGeneral QualificationsLANGUAGE SKILLS :Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business correspondence and reports.Ability to articulate professional responses to common inquiries and/or complaints from students, faculty, staff, or the public at-large.Ability to write using proper grammar and punctuation.Ability to effectively present information to administration, students, faculty, staff, or the public at-large.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :Ability to apply and understand standard mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.REASONING ABILITY :Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES :Understanding of and commitment to the unique nature and role of the College and to the philosophy of the community college system.Required QualificationsAssociate Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field; experience/proficiency in the use of integrated software (Microsoft Word and Excel), social media websites, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate and prioritize office dutiesPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and experience in an educational office settingCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
