Position Summary

The UNM Bookstoresare seeking a proactive and creative student to contribute to the success oftheir marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Sr. MarketingRepresentative, the Marketing Assistant will play an integral role in advancingthe bookstores' marketing efforts.

Responsibilitiesinclude maintaining and updating the retail website content to ensure accuracy,functionality, and a positive user experience. This includes making edits totext, images, and page layouts, as well as supporting the creation of new webpages for promotions, products, and campaigns. Basic knowledge of HTML isrequired to assist with formatting and troubleshooting content within the site.

This role alsoinvolves collaborating with the marketing team to ensure website content alignswith current campaigns and branding. The Marketing Assistant will help identifyareas for improvement, and ensure all pages are up to date and visuallyconsistent.

The ideal candidateis an enthusiastic student with a strong work ethic who is detail-oriented andenjoys working in a team environment. Candidates should have a foundationalunderstanding of website management, basic HTML skills, and an interest indigital marketing and user experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Experience using Adobe Photoshop to edit product picturesExperience with website managementExperience with marketing and communications Strong oral and written communication skills Project management skills Availability of up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours
