Under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Director, the Communications Assistant is responsible for successfully assisting the director with the implementation of the association’s communications and marketing strategy including but not limited to online, mobile, social, email, display and digital content development and curation, as well as assisting with practical communications tasks. 1.Schedule and program email communications and newsletters 2.Receive and respond to website information requests and general inbox inquiries 3.Use Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to design and produce marketing materials including, but notlimited to: fliers, social media graphics, business cards, brochures, signage, banners, newsletters, emailtemplates, print ads and digital ads 4.Assist with template design and creation in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite as well as graphicdesign and creation of original logos, Y branded supplies and other collateral materials 5.Create engaging social media content and implement digital marketing (social media) strategythat supports branch-wide events, campaigns, promotions, etc. 7.Assist with maintaining and updating current information on association website with attentionto visual layout, graphics, and overall user experience 8.Assist branches and association with social media content creation ideas and implementation 9.Assist with monitoring association wide social media channels and responding to inquiries andcomments in a timely fashion (11 Facebook pages, 3 Instagram profiles, 3 Facebook Groups,YouTube, LinkedIn) 10.Maintain editorial standards and best practices including writing and proofreading support forbranches and staff 11.Assist with special events and promotions as needed, including YMCA Critz Tybee Run Fest 12.Curate video and photo content as assigned 13.Assist with other communications and development duties as assigned 14.Shoot and edit photo/video content for use in marketing materials, social media, promotions, etc. In-depth knowledge and use of social media platforms and analytics including Google products. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
