Marketing Communications Associate

As one of the premier resident theaters in the United States, we captivate audiences with a rich tapestry of world drama, from timeless classics to daring new productions and rediscovered gems of the past. The position we’re filling As the Marketing Communications Associate, you will be working directly with the Associate Director of Marketing, other members of the marketing team, as well as a variety of other departments to support Hartford Stage’s social media channels, email marketing program, website, direct mail, and cross-promotion opportunities. ### What you’ll be doing • Creating a social media plan to support the marketing department effort to achieve annual goals • Generating ideas for social media marketing and institutional branding • Writing copy and creating or soliciting photo and video content for social media posts • Responding to inquiries and interacting with audience members via our social media channels • Tracking and reporting on engagement on all social channels • Working with Associate Director of Marketing and our digital agency on creating social media advertising • Researching new trends and best practices in digital marketing • Creating all show-related and institutional emails • Working with the Associate Director of Marketing to map out email communications to support all our activities • Managing the website including content updates and necessary upgrades • Supporting the team with other projects as needed ### What we bring • A dynamic downtown location in a creative state capital with quick access to the coast, mountains, and many restaurants, shops, markets, breweries, and activities of all kinds • An invitation to contribute to a team of talented and collaborative individuals committed to a Tony award-winning legacy • A fun, engaging, inclusive, and equitable workplace committed to a transformative, experiential theater A place where everyone belongs We know there are great candidates who may not have all of the qualifications listed above but possess intuitive knowledge or other fully transferable skills.
