Description: This position has strategic and tactical responsibility for the vision, execution, and management of communications for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, with a core emphasis on sharing Club impact and increasing donor engagement. The Marketing & Communications Associate provides leadership for the creation, deployment, and evaluation of a comprehensive strategic communications and marketing plan to enhance and grow the organization’s brand and reputation, across multiple audiences, through public relations, media relations, board/donor communications, social media, events, and organizational collateral. Communications • Play a lead staff role in managing (in partnership with committee chair) the organization’s Communications Committee • Develop, design, and deploy a monthly e-newsletter for external and internal stakeholders • Support BGCH Program and Human Resource communications needs, as assigned • Play a lead role (in coordination with VP of Development) in developing special event communications, including scripting, promotional materials, signage, program books, etc. Collateral Development • Play a lead role in the creation of the organization’s annual report, impact report, program brochures, and other collateral, as assigned • Maintains and catalogues BGCH photo library (for use on web, collateral, social, etc.)
