Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a temporary Marketing & Communications Specialist for a well-established nonprofit organization serving youth and families in the Hartford, CT area. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position based in Hartford. PERKS: Competitive hourly pay rate of $35–$38/hour Meaningful work that supports youth development and community impact Opportunity to build and implement creative systems and content strategies Collaborative and inclusive team culture Immediate opportunity to make a visible contribution to an essential nonprofit RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and schedule engaging social media content across platforms Design newsletters, flyers, and templates to streamline marketing processes Edit and format graphics and visual content using Canva and other creative tools Cover events (including evenings as needed) through photography and content collection Coordinate closely with the development team and VP of Development & Communications Support the execution of broader communications strategies and storytelling efforts QUALIFICATIONS: Strong experience in social media management and content creation Proficient in Canva, Adobe Lightroom, and other design and content tools Experience creating newsletters and managing distribution platforms Ability to work independently with a proactive, solution-focused mindset Excellent communication skills and attention to detail COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This is a full-time, temporary position located 100% onsite in Hartford, CT .
