Marketing Communications Coordinator

The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting and implementing a wide variety of communications projects, including project management, content creation and execution (website, social media, e-newsletter, emails), partnership and event support and the development of collateral materials, all while communicating in a voice consistent with the company’s values and culture. * Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as journalism, marketing, public relations or mass communications * At least two years of experience writing (AP Style preferred), proofreading and creating an editorial calendar in a field such as marketing, advertising, public relations or journalism * Relevant college coursework or portfolios may substitute for up to two years of required experience * Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite – i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Ability to analyze and interpret statistics relevant to social media and digital marketing, and adjust content accordingly * Experience with social media management platform, such as Hootsuite * Experience with WordPress or similar content management software * Ability to provide a portfolio of work, including writing, design and video samples * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English * Ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative * Reliable transportation * Record of safe driving for the last three years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations * Valid Texas Class C driver’s license * Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop and InDesign * Experience with PR analytics tools, such as Meltwater * Photography/videography experience * Familiarity with iOS and Apple computers * Solid waste disposal or environmental services industry experience a plus *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
