Job Summary: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will assist the Vice President, Communications & Brand Strategy in all needs for the Association. Essential Job Functions: Create and distribute all e-communicationsAssist in marketing association eventsProduce engaging content and features for publications and social mediaMaintain a communications calendar for the associationProject manage the creation and distribution of The MRLA MagazineCompile industry-related news articles and content to use for weekly association communicationsCreate and implement marketing campaigns as directedCollaborates with Vice President, Communications & Brand Strategy to create and implement new marketing strategies for recruitment and retention of membersDevelop social media campaigns and content to numerous social media accounts (including but not limited to X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)Consistently update website content across all entitiesSupport in the creation of media materials such as press releases and media alertsMaintain media lists and overall metric reportingOnsite support for events – requires flexibility in hours and some travelCoordinate the fulfillment of sponsorship deliverables for all entitiesServe as a liaison for Women in Hospitality Leadership by assisting with event implementation, communication and organization with statewide ChaptersOther needs as assigned by the Vice President, Communications & Brand StrategyQualifications: Team MRLA Perks & Benefits Work will be performed in a hybrid environment, with three days in the office and two days remote.Able to communicate with staff on a telephone, and hear and speak clearly to members and others face to faceHas vision sufficient to read printed documents, computer screens, forms, and other communicationsAble to sit or stand for long periods of timeAble to reach above shoulder level to work, as well as bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn, finger and feelMust have ability to travel locally and out-of-town for extended periods, using private or commercial transportation and staying in public accommodationsMust have the physical ability to attend meetings, conventions, and other events, which may be held in large convention facilities with various accessibility, and maneuver through such facilities to perform a broad variety of dutiesWork Location: Hybrid remote in Lansing, MI 48933
