Marketing & Communications Manager

Bethesda Mission is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead and execute strategic communications that advance our mission and expand our impact. This role is responsible for increasing awareness and revenue through compelling storytelling, integrated marketing strategies, and strong relationships with donors, media, and the community. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies across print, digital, and social media channels Create and oversee content for direct mail, newsletters, email campaigns, website, blogs, videos, and social media Manage and maintain all marketing channels to ensure consistent messaging and brand identity Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce high-quality communications and fundraising materials Manage social media platforms, including content creation, advertising, engagement, and analytics Oversee website updates and content management Build and maintain relationships with media contacts; coordinate press releases and media events Serve as organizational spokesperson for media inquiries and prepare leadership for interviews Identify and pursue marketing opportunities, including partnerships and sponsorships Negotiate media contracts within budget to maximize exposure and impact Support fundraising efforts through marketing campaigns and event promotions Assist with planning and execution of events, ensuring consistent messaging across all communications Implement and maintain crisis communication strategies Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field 3 to 5 years of experience in communications, preferably in a nonprofit or faith-based organization Demonstrated experience in grant writing and reporting Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong organizational and project management abilities Self-motivated, creative, and proactive storyteller Proficiency with digital tools, social media platforms, and database systems Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of marketing, media, and development strategies Ability to maintain consistent brand messaging across all platforms Experience building relationships that increase visibility and donor engagement Skilled in leveraging digital platforms to connect with stakeholders Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively in crisis communication situations Proven ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
