At Faithful Friends Animal Society (FFAS), the Marketing/Communications intern will be responsible for assisting the Development Department in its advertising and promotional efforts. The Marketing & Communications intern will report to and be supervised by the Director of Development & Public Relations. Working with digital, print, and peer-to-peer channels in marketing campaignsProject management experience, including how to meet daily, weekly, and long-term deadlines in a unique environmentExperience using WordPress, Google Analytics, and marketing softwareHow to apply design theory to non-profit marketing campaignsExperience working and communicating directly with a mid-size non-profit teamExposure to many locally-owned businesses, nonprofits, and organizations in DelawareWhat we require: Basic design skills (familiarity with Canva, or Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign)Some experience with copywriting and blog writingKnowledge of basic design principles & compositionExperience with content creation and curation for social media platforms including Facebook, Linkedin, TikTok, and Instagram/ReelsQuality verbal communication (small and large group settings) as well as written communication (web, email, newsletters)Ability to process and implement creative feedbackExperience following social trendsAbility to bring new ideas to the tablePassion for the non-profit sector and animal welfare industryBy the end of the internship, you will have: Faithful Friends Animal Society (FFAS) was founded in 2000 and now serves 18,000 pets and 24,000 people each year through programs and services that focus on the most vulnerable.
