Classification: Part-Time, hourly, non-exempt

Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience

Schedule: 8-12 hours/week, scheduled in 4-hour blocks during business hours, with regular availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday required

Position Overview

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks (BGO) is seeking a creative and organized part-time Marketing & Communications Assistant to support the Garden’s communications, marketing and outreach efforts. This role supports the day-to-day execution of marketing priorities, helping tell the Garden’s story through social media, graphic design and digital content while connecting people with nature and one another.

The ideal candidate is creative, dependable and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. This role works closely with BGO’s Marketing & Communications team to support content creation, event promotion and brand storytelling.

Primary Responsibilities

Support management and creation of organic social media content for BGO across platforms
Assist with content collection for day-to-day Garden activities and events
Design digital assets (graphics, flyers, social posts and promotional materials)
Support brand storytelling by highlighting BGO’s mission, programs, events and impact
Assist with marketing and communications projects as assigned
Help maintain a consistent visual identity and voice across marketing materials

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience with Meta (Facebook/Instagram Business tools)
Strong design skills using Canva (Adobe Creative Suite a plus)
Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
