What You’ll Do: The Marketing and Communications Manager is a key member of the Marketing team and leads the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications initiatives that elevate Goodwill’s brand, strengthen community engagement, and support organizational growth.
Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Lead content creation and storytelling efforts that highlight Goodwill’s mission, impact, programs, and community presence.
Manage digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, website content, and online campaigns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners and serve as a point of contact for press inquiries and public relations opportunities.
Analyze marketing performance metrics and translate data into actionable insights to improve engagement and reach.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across the organization.
Support planning and execution of key initiatives such as events, campaigns, fundraisers, and store openings.
Education, Experience, and Skills That Are a Must
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or related field, including content development and campaign execution.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate mission-driven work into compelling content.
Experience with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, SEO/SEM, and content management systems.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design and digital content tools.
Valid NC driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally as needed.
Pay Range and Schedule
This position is salary-based and commensurate with experience.
Position is full-time. Work is generally conducted Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events required.
Position is based in Greensboro, NC, with a hybrid remote work option available based on performance and business needs.
