Everyone at Monks knows how to have a good time, and everyone contributes to the positive energy of our culture.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a Marketing Communications Manager / Lead Writer to lead thought leadership and content development across APAC.This role sits at the intersection of PR, content, and marketing, and is responsible for shaping compelling narratives that position Monks as a leader in marketing, technology, and culture.You will work closely with regional and global stakeholders to develop high-quality content, amplify key moments (including events), and build a consistent and credible voice in the industry.RESPONSIBILITIES1) Thought Leadership & Content CreationLead the development of thought leadership content across APACWrite and edit:Articles and opinion pieces (e.g. Campaign, WARC, trade media)Linked In posts and executive narrativesPOVs on key industry topics (AI, commerce, social, content, technology)Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and impactful contentShape and refine leadership voices across the region2) Awards & Industry RecognitionSupport awards strategy, submissions and logistic across APAC (e.g. Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Campaign Asia Awards, Spikes Asia, Effies)Partner with internal teams to identify award-worthy work and storiesManage timelines, submissions, and coordination with markets and global teamsLeverage award wins for PR, content, and amplification3) Event Content & AmplificationWorking closely with event team to develop and maximize event impactRepurpose event content into:Social contentArticles and PR storiesCase studies and internal materials4) PR & Media RelationsIdentify and develop media opportunitiesSupport pitching of stories to key industry and trade publicationsBuild and maintain relationships with relevant media contacts5) Content Strategy & SystemsWorking closely with Marketing VP to establish a consistent content cadence across marketsBuild a repeatable framework to turn key moments into ongoing contentEnsure alignment with global messaging while localizing for APAC relevanceQUALIFICATIONS6–10 years of experience in PR, content, editorial, or communicationsExceptional writing and editing skills in English (native or near-native level), Mandarin is a plus.Experience developing thought leadership or long‑form contentStrong understanding of marketing, advertising, and media landscapeAbility to work with senior stakeholders and translate ideas into narrativesHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyPREFERRED EXPERIENCEBackground in agency, advertising media, or editorial/journalismExperience working across multiple APAC marketsFamiliarity with industry platforms such as Campaign, WARC, or similarExperience supporting events, speaking engagements, or executive profilingAbout MonksMonks is the global, digital-first, data-driven,…
