Marketing & Community Assistant

Live Oak Operations is looking for an outgoing, creative, and dependable Marketing & Community Assistant to help us grow our presence throughout the Savannah community and online.

This is a flexible, part-time position that’s perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people, creating engaging social media content, and representing a growing local business.

What You’ll Do

Community & Networking

Attend local networking events, Chamber events, business mixers, ribbon cuttings, and other community events on behalf of Live Oak Operations
Confidently introduce Live Oak and explain our services to local business owners and professionals
Build relationships and identify potential clients, referral partners, and community connections
Collect contact information and provide notes on potential leads for follow-up
Capture photos and short-form video content while attending events

Social Media & Content

Create authentic short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn
Film behind-the-scenes, community, educational, and business-related content
Assist with creating and scheduling social media posts
Help turn Live Oak’s services, client wins, business tips, and community involvement into engaging content
Assist with basic Canva graphics and other marketing materials as needed
Engage with local businesses and community organizations through Live Oak’s social channels
Help maintain a consistent and professional online presence

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be a career marketer. We’re much more interested in finding someone who is:

Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable walking into a room and starting conversations
Comfortable appearing in and creating video content
Creative and familiar with current social media trends
Professional and able to confidently represent Live Oak Operations
Reliable and able to attend occasional daytime and/or evening networking events
Organized and able to work independently
Comfortable using social media platforms and basic content-creation tools
Interested in small businesses, entrepreneurship, marketing, or the Beaufort community

Experience with Canva, CapCut, social media management, photography/video, networking, or marketing is a plus, but we’re happy to work with the right person who is eager to learn.

Schedule

Approximately 5–10 hours per week to start. Hours will vary depending on local events and content needs, so some flexibility is important. This is primarily a Beaufort-area position with some work that can be completed remotely.

Compensation

$19-25 an hour, depending on experience.

Mileage for approved business-related travel will be reimbursed.
