Marketing & Content Lead

Onyx Aesthetics is looking for an experienced, creative Marketing & Content Lead to take ownership of our day-to-day content creation and social media presence.

This is a hands-on, in-house position in McAllen, TX. The ideal candidate must have prior experience filming, photographing, and editing professional social media content. You will regularly be behind the camera capturing treatments, providers, events, lifestyle content, educational content, and the overall Onyx experience.

This is not a remote social media management position. You must be comfortable filming and editing content yourself.

What You’ll Do

Film high-quality vertical video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories, and paid/social campaigns
Photograph providers, treatments, products, events, and lifestyle content
Edit short-form videos from start to finish, including cuts, transitions, text, music, pacing, and basic color correction
Turn raw footage into polished, engaging content that matches the Onyx aesthetic
Develop creative concepts, hooks, scripts, shot lists, and content ideas
Direct providers and team members during shoots so content feels natural and professional
Create and manage a consistent weekly/monthly content calendar
Publish and optimize content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms
Create graphics and promotional assets as needed
Capture behind-the-scenes and real-time content throughout the week
Coordinate dedicated content shoots and creator/model days
Help plan campaigns around promotions, new services, events, partnerships, and product launches
Monitor content performance, engagement, reach, and growth and use those insights to improve future content
Stay current with social media trends while maintaining a consistent Onyx brand identity
Work directly with ownership on the creative and marketing direction of Onyx

Required Experience

Candidates must have previous hands-on content creation experience, including:

Videography and short-form video production

Photography

Video editing

Instagram Reels and TikTok creation

Content planning and social media management

Strong understanding of framing, lighting, audio, composition, and storytelling

Experience with editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar

Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools

Ability to independently take an idea from concept → filming → editing → final post

Experience working with an aesthetics, beauty, wellness, fitness, healthcare, hospitality, or lifestyle brand is strongly preferred.

Portfolio Required

Applicants must provide examples of content they have personally filmed and edited.

Please include a portfolio, Instagram/TikTok account, website, Google Drive portfolio, or other examples of your work with your application. Applications without examples of previous content creation may not be considered.

Position Details

Location: Onyx Aesthetics — McAllen, TX

Schedule: In-house, approximately 4 days per week

Work setting: On-site

Some schedule flexibility will be required for events, collaborations, launches, and occasional content shoots outside normal business hours.

We’re looking for someone who can become the creative engine behind the Onyx brand, someone who can see an opportunity for content, pick up the camera, capture it, edit it, and turn it into something people actually want to watch.
