Marketing Director

Company Description: Fairfield Hedge Fund Group (FHFG) is a student-led investment organization built to bring the hedge fund investment process to Fairfield University. Through fundamental research, valuation, investment thesis development, pitches, and simulated portfolio management, FHFG allows students to operate within a collaborative investment environment modeled around how ideas are developed, challenged, and translated into portfolio decisions. Beyond investing, FHFG leverages Fairfield’s proximity and connections to the investment industry to connect students with alumni and professionals across hedge funds, asset management, and the broader financial markets.

Role Description: The Director of Marketing will serve on FHFG’s Executive Board and take ownership of the organization’s brand, social media presence, and external communications.

This is an opportunity to help shape the identity of a newly established organization and build its presence across Fairfield University and the broader investment community.

Responsibilities include:

Lead FHFG’s LinkedIn and Instagram presenceCreate graphics and promotional materials for meetings, events, and recruitingMaintain consistency across FHFG’s branding and communicationsPromote speakers, events, Analyst opportunities, and organizational updatesCapture and develop content from FHFG meetings and eventsWork directly with the President and Executive Board on FHFG’s growth and outreach

Qualifications

Active Fairfield University studentExperience creating graphics and digital content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design and editing toolsStrong understanding of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and InstagramStrong attention to detail and an eye for clean, professional visual designAbility to communicate clearly and maintain a consistent brand voice across platformsReliable, organized, and willing to take ownership of FHFG’s marketing and content strategyPrior marketing, social media, branding, or content creation experience preferred
