Key responsibilities
Referral development
Build and maintain relationships with referring providers: primary care, sports medicine, urgent care, physical therapists and pain management.
Run a planned weekly call cycle of in-person office visits, and provider introductions for our surgeons and PAs.
Educate referral offices on our services (joint replacement, sports medicine, spine, hand, fracture care, same-day/walk-in ortho access) and how to refer.
Track visits, referral trends and lost or declining referrers in the CRM; resolve referral friction (scheduling delays, missing reports) with front-office and clinical teams.
Develop relationships with employers, workers' comp case managers, and other programs.
Marketing and patient acquisition
Plan and execute the annual marketing calendar within the approved budget.
Manage the website content, Google Business Profiles and local SEO, working with outside agencies where used.
Create and schedule social media content: provider spotlights, patient stories (with written consent), injury-prevention tips and service announcements.
Coordinate paid digital campaigns (search, social) and print materials such as brochures, referral pads and signage.
Organize community events: health fairs, free injury screenings, athletic event coverage and educational seminars.
Run the online-review program and monitor reputation across Google and healthcare review sites; route complaints to the practice administrator.
Reporting and compliance
Report monthly on referral volume by source, new-patient counts, campaign results and cost per new patient.
Keep all marketing compliant with HIPAA, the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, including limits on gifts and meals to referral sources.
Maintain brand standards across all materials and channels.
