Internship Opportunity: Grove United – Marketing & Social Media Intern (2025)

📍 Location: Richmond, VA | Type: Unpaid Internship

The Grove Foundation, based in Richmond, Virginia, operates Grove United, a club competing in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) for the 2026 season. We are currently looking for a creative and driven Marketing & Social Media Intern to support our digital presence, content creation, and fan engagement efforts throughout the season.

Intern Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing Grove United’s presence across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and TikTok

• Capture photos and videos at matches, training sessions, and community events

• Design and post engaging graphics, matchday content, highlights, and player features

• Help write and schedule social media posts, stories, and reels aligned with the club’s voice and brand

• Support execution of marketing campaigns for ticket sales, merchandise, and special events

• Track and analyze post engagement and follower growth

• Collaborate with the Operations and Community teams to promote themed matches and activations

• Contribute ideas during weekly planning sessions for new content and fan engagement strategies

Qualifications:

• High school or college student studying marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, or a related field

• Passion for soccer and creative storytelling

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends

• Basic skills in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools preferred

• Comfortable using a phone or camera for capturing media content

• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills

• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends during the season
