Merchants Hospitality is looking for a creative Marketing Director for our diverse portfolio of hospitality concepts. The ideal candidate will not only participate in the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives but will also know how to create exciting content that will help our guests stay in touch and engaged with us. The Marketing Director will lead the development of our marketing plans, working closely with management, creative, and content teams to implement an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences and brand visibility. They will oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying new opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth by securing new opportunities. Responsibilities Develop and implement marketing plans Establish and grow target market share Conduct customer, brand, and product research initiatives Offer expert advice to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media, and events Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills Oversee the operation of a companies' websites or email marketing programs and provide analytics reviews Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget and other financial considerations Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team Spearhead the strategic execution of marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations Stay current on hospitality marketing and social media trends Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies to drive interest and sales Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, or communications (MBA preferred) 2+ years of professional experience with positive, quantifiable results Successful track record in creating marketing campaigns Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Superior understanding and command of top social media platforms and communities Proven ability to plan and manage budgets Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
