Marketing & Program Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is to assist Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region (BBBSMCR) in achieving its mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. The Marketing & Program Assistant will support both the BBBSMCR outreach initiatives as well as program and fundraising events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years' experience in social services, family studies, marketing, advertising, sales, or related field. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university desired.

MARKETING SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support planning and execution of community events, program events, workshops, and fundraising activities such as Annual Appeal.
• Assist with fundraising data entry and analytics.
• Assist with the coordination of event logistics such as venue booking, vendor communication, supplies, and registration.
• Assist in the creation and promotion of events through email, flyers, social media, and newsletters.
• Attend events and provide on-site administrative assistance when needed for marketing and events.

PROGRAM SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the Program Director to develop and promote Match enrichment strategies, including large scale annual events, individual appreciation initiatives, and community engagement.
• Assist with program data entry and analytics.
• Assist in programming by participating in the design and implementation of programs, such as Group Mentoring and other BBBS mentorship programs offered.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
