MARKETING AND PROMOTIONS MANAGER

Classification: Full-time

Salary Range: Open

Degree: 4 year college degree preferred. Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications.

Experience: 3+ years proven community marketing experience.

General Description:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing all marketing, revenue generating

and public relations efforts of Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC), and its programs

including artspace, ArtBreak, Christmas in the Sky, , Caddo Common Park, Central

ARTSTATION, Artist services, Public Art, Bakowski Bridge of Lights,, as well as ongoing and

special projects, websites, social media, and events.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility is to manage and execute the marketing of SRAC, its programs

and projects by creating promotional materials, working with local and regional media

including digital media, and implementing marketing duties to maximize positive

visibility and exposure.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Help create and maintain cohesive SRAC branding for all projects and programs.Create, write and execute all marketing and publicity including Press Releases,Public Service Announcements (PSAs), advertising copy, direct mail, email,promotional materials, invitations and posters.Manage marketing and promotional projects with Printers, as well asmedia: Billboards, THE TIMES, THE SB ADVOCATE, SB MAGAZINE, 318FORUM NEWS,KTBS-3, KTAL-6, KSLA -12, FOX NEWS, RED RIVER RADIO and others.Build marketing and programming opportunities for all SRAC projects and programsto maximize visibility, exposure, attendance and return on investment.Oversee the Marketing of all SRAC Programs and Services to include the planning,design, and production of Marketing Materials targeted to a variety of Audiences (General Public, Roster & NWLA Artists, Target Audiences associated with Shreveport Common, and audiences associated with Christmas in the Sky.¨ Create and support mission-driven opportunities for generating revenue, such as driving sponsorships through website sales, online ticket sales, or driving business for rentals/catering at artspace, Central ARTstation, or the Kat Towers.Analyze all programming and its marketing to maximize target audiences.Manage, update, and expand all SRAC websites, social media, and email communications: Shrevearts.org, artspace, Bakowski Bridge of Lights, and Christmas in the Sky.Send weekly email blasts to our database of upcoming events . Software: Mailer Lite – provide statistics on openings/clicks.Send monthly email blasts to artists promoting upcoming Art opportunities.Work with the Executive Director to determine who will “speak” for SRAC at Press Events, Programming when the Press arrive for an interview, and Broadcast interviews or feature stories. Attend all media meetings & interviews.Provide Live Photo Documentation and Live Promotion during SRAC events, programs, and services.Produce photo documentation for Grant fulfillment, as well as for other documentation purposes.Coordinate updates to NWLA Artists Directory (Culturalyst).Work closely with Board marketing chairs, fund development committee, board members and volunteers on marketing endeavors.Work with SRAC Staff to coordinate all Marketing & Promotions for SRAC Events and programs.Work with Planning and Resource Development Staff and/or Liaison to align and support campaigns.Negotiate contracts with media, print and marketing vendors, advertising agencies, partners, etc.Graphic Design of all promotional materials.Create events and projects that serve as Marketing Vehicles.Other Duties as assigned.Requirements:

Excellent marketing, advertising, graphic design, and website management skills.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Proven marketing management knowledge baseProven graphic design skillsProven copywriting, editing, news release, PSA, and development of marketing material skillsMust be able to engage people to strategize solutions and break-down actions into steps to move forwardExcellent people skills including excellent written and verbal communicationMicrosoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop/Illustrator/IndesignMust be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-project, deadline-driven environmentMust create and maintain excellent relationships with MediaMust have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving recordsMust be flexible to work long hours including some nights and weekendsQualification Standards:

4-year college degree preferred: Marketing, Design, or Communications3+ years proven community marketing experienceReports To: Executive Director
