The ideal candidate would be a communications and marketing generalist who enjoys the diversity of work that comes in a smaller organization. Main responsibilities (not exhaustive): Manage production of annual report and seasonal publications (both printed and online) Support publicity efforts for fellowships, programs, and events Pursue, and respond to, media opportunities relevant to the Society Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably at a nonprofit, library, arts/culture institution, or higher education Familiarity with CRM databases and email platforms (we use Blackbaud and Constant Contact) Experience managing projects to completion Comfort working with colleagues across departments and managing external consultants and vendors Demonstrated commitment to principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and access in their daily work (please refer to our IDEA statement on our website) Travel: None/minimal Minimum Education: Associates Degree Language Skills: Ability to read, understand, speak and write in Standard English; ability to communicate effectively in English with individuals in person, over the telephone, and via the printed word.
