The Marketing, Social Media, and Government Affairs Specialist will play a key role in promoting the organization's initiatives, engaging stakeholders, and supporting government relations efforts. This role requires a dynamic professional with expertise in strategic communication, social media management, and public policy advocacy. The ideal candidate will be able to navigate diverse responsibilities, from content creation to relationship-building with government officials and community leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing and Social Media

Content Creation: Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns to highlight organizational initiatives and projects. Create engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and press releases. Social Media Management: Manage social media accounts, ensuring timely and engaging posts that align with the organization's goals. Monitor analytics to assess campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed. Brand Management: Maintain consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing materials and platforms. Foster brand awareness and a positive public image. Community Engagement: Build and manage relationships with local stakeholders, media outlets, and community organizations. Plan and promote events that connect the organization with the public. Government Affairs

Policy Monitoring and Advocacy: Monitor local, state, and federal legislation and policies relevant to the organization’s mission. Develop advocacy strategies to influence public policy and regulatory decisions. Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate relationships with elected officials, government agencies, and community leaders. Represent the organization at public meetings, hearings, and events. Grant Writing and Reporting: Assist in drafting grant applications and progress reports for government-funded projects. Track legislative opportunities for funding and policy partnerships. Legislative Communication: Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and presentations for use in government relations. Coordinate meetings and correspondence between the organization and policymakers. Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing desired but not required, Communications, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, social media, public relations, or government affairs. Demonstrated success in managing social media platforms and crafting strategic communication plans. Familiarity with legislative processes and public policy advocacy. Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva). Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities. Preferred Attributes:

Knowledge of local, state, and federal government operations. Experience in the public or nonprofit sector. Proven ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging content. Reporting To: Deputy Director and Executive Director
