**Marketing Specialist Associate**

Under direct supervision, supports marketing and public outreach programs designed to increase awareness and use of OCTA projects, programs, and services. This entry-level role assists with marketing campaigns, community engagement, events, social media, and communications targeting diverse audiences throughout Orange County.

This is a non-exempt position in salary grade 170: Min – $34.61 | Mid – $41.12| Max – $47.62/hour. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications.

**What You’ll Do**

* Assist with marketing and public awareness campaigns using advertising, events, email, social media, and promotions
* Develop and distribute marketing materials and public outreach collateral
* Support community meetings, workshops, focus groups, and outreach events
* Coordinate event logistics, staffing, materials, and site requirements
* Monitor website and social media content for accuracy and relevance
* Gather and analyze customer and public feedback and prepare reports
* Write, proofread, and edit public information and marketing content
* Conduct outreach to businesses and community organizations and help develop partnerships
* Track communication metrics, maintain databases, and prepare reports and presentations
* Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and community partners

**What We’re Looking For**

* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Related marketing, communications, or public outreach experience preferred
* Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to analyze information, maintain accurate data, and communicate findings
* Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of Orange County demographics and transportation issues is desirable
* Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours and attend community events
