The Marketing Specialist plays a central role in Cherry Lake Publishing Group’s Marketing Department, serving as the hub of organization and execution of key strategies within our larger book publishing marketing plan. This role is responsible for organizing all aspects of our attendance at trade, library, and educator conventions; managing our trade imprint’s presence on Edelweiss; managing the advertising and email schedules as well as executing their creation and delivery; working on determining and executing website updates; working with our sales managers on any necessary communication to sales reps; and helping to manage the overall marketing budget. This position requires the strongest attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and an ability to manage project schedules while communicating with stakeholders across the organization. Meet with key staff to determine featured themes and copy points. Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing coordinator/manager role, preferably in book publishing • Demonstrated ability to project manage detail-intensive marketing projects from start to finish • A curious and very self-motivated approach to executing initiatives, with a high interest in thinking about proactive marketing ideas, process improvements, and cross-department communication • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong commitment to producing error-free work • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and communicating clearly with a range of stakeholders • Confidence giving and receiving feedback in a positive, constructive manner
