Skills • 5-7 years of media buying and planning experience • Strong understanding of Chicago media, especially local TV • Expertise in traditional media (TV, radio, print, OOH) and digital platforms (OTT/CTV, streaming, digital ads, social media) • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Experience with media buying software (Strata a plus! Responsibilities • Research, plan, negotiate, and execute media buys across traditional and digital channels • Develop multi-platform media strategies that align with client goals • Serve as the primary point of contact between media vendors, clients, and internal teams • Build and manage TV, radio, and digital media schedules • Oversee campaign execution, including asset tracking, trafficking, and quality control • Monitor pacing and optimize campaigns for best performance • Conduct post-buy analyses to ensure media effectiveness and negotiate makegoods if necessary • Lead client presentations and strategy discussions • Provide detailed competitive and market analysis • Work closely with internal teams to develop monthly performance reports • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their professional growth • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across digital and traditional media • Analyze campaign results and recommend optimizations • Ensure data-driven decision-making to enhance media effectiveness • Manage billing and resolve any discrepancies as needed • Foster a collaborative, energetic environment that encourages new ideas and solutions Qualifications • 5-7 years of media buying and planning experience • Strong understanding of Chicago media, especially local TV • Expertise in traditional media (TV, radio, print, OOH) and digital platforms (OTT/CTV, streaming, digital ads, social media) • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
